Support
For the Gikara web application and the Gikara mobile app.
Getting help
- Employees and managers: your first stop is your organisation's HR team. Inside the app, the Helpdesk raises a ticket that goes straight to them.
- Administrators: email team.gikara@gmail.com from your registered address with your workspace name (the part before the dot in your login URL). We acknowledge within one business day.
- Security issues: email the same address with "SECURITY" in the subject. Please do not post details publicly.
Signing in to the mobile app
Enter your workspace (the same subdomain you use on the web), then your work email and password. If your organisation uses single sign-on, choose that option on the sign-in screen. There is no self-signup: if you do not have a login, your HR administrator can create one.
Account deletion
Accounts are provisioned by your employer, so deletion is a request to them; we make sure it is carried out.
- Ask your HR administrator to deactivate your account. Deactivation stops all access immediately.
- If you would rather ask us, email team.gikara@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion", your workspace and your work email. We confirm the request with your employer and track it to completion.
- Your employer may be legally required to keep certain records (payroll and tax, typically 7 years) after your account is closed; everything else is erased under the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.
- Uninstalling the app removes your session and any unsynced attendance punches from the phone only.
What the app stores and shares
A plain-language summary of the store data-safety declarations:
- Collected: name, work email, employee identifiers, attendance events (with location only at the moment of a punch when your employer requires it), photos you take for attendance or receipts, device push token, crash and diagnostic data.
- Shared: only with your employer (who owns the data) and the infrastructure providers named in the Privacy Policy. Never sold, never used for advertising.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest. You can request deletion (above).
